Launch of the 'King Bhumibol Tuilip' greeting card
One of the leading Dutch tulip growers, Kees Koedijk, worked very hard to select and develop a new tulip variety to which His Magesty last year consented to lend his name. Currently, there are only 50 bulbs of the "King Bhumibol" tulip, and to date they have never travelled outside of the Netherlands.
Piyanan Prasarnrajkit, assistant professor at Chulalongkorn University, has made beautiful reditions in watercolour of these tulips; and the freeting card has been developed on the basis of these watercolours. The printing of the cards has been made possible by the generosity of Joergen Schmidt, president and CEO of dz cards.
All proceeds from the sales of the greeting cards will go to The Kamlangjai (Inspire) Project under the Royal Initiative of HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha to improve the living conditions of women and children living in correctional facilities.
